PANTHERS PRIDE RALLY!--FREE!

Carolina Panthers fans are invited to cheer on the team at a rally this Friday, January 22 in Romare Bearden Park in Uptown Charlotte. The Panthers Pride Rally is sponsored by Bank of America and produced by the Carolina Panthers and Charlotte Center City Partners.

Fans will enjoy appearances by Panthers players, Sir Purr, the TopCats, PurrCussion and the Black & Blue Crew. This is a rain or shine event. The Panthers Pride Rally is supported by the City of Charlotte, Charlotte Chamber, CRVA and Mecklenburg County.

Music starts at Noon.  Program starts at 1 p.m.

CHARLOTTE RESTAURANT WEEK!

This is a great time to try out places around town that you wouldn't normally try!  For one week only, some of Charlotte's greatest places to eat are serving a select multi course menu, for one 30$!

Reservations/call-ahead are strongly recommended. Participating restaurants cannot guarantee walk-in seating during Charlotte Restaurant Week but will accommodate non-reserved guests if possible. If a restaurant has availability for the evening, walk-ins will be accommodated on a first-come, first-served basis.

Presented by Novant Health, BODY WORLDS & The Cycle of Life focuses on the human life cycle, capturing the body at every stage – at its most healthy, as it changes, grows, matures and finally wanes. In the 11,000-square-foot exhibition, Discovery Place visitors will see the body through the span of time and learn about the latest findings in longevity and health.

In addition to showcasing the wonders of human development, the 100+  specimens demonstrate the complexity, resilience and vulnerability of the human body in distress, disease and optimal health. All specimens presented in the BODY WORLDS exhibitions are preserved through Plastination, a scientific process invented by pioneering anatomist Dr. Gunther von Hagens.
